Onset of Grief (Personal Testimony)

I wanted to share my personal testimony with you all, the loss of my sister, Melissa. This is the day my grief journey began. Grief does not always happen when we lose someone or something, it can happen when we are faced with unforeseen situations. Grief is unique to each individual person and there is no timeline.

Remember…there is hope. We have to allow ourselves to grieve. Do not try to hide it. Do not try to go through it alone. Do not allow anyone to dictate you “grief timeline”. Get the help that you need as you pray for peace, comfort, understanding, and healing. Get grief counseling, coaching, or both. Remember that counseling deals with the past (when the grief started) and coaching deals with the future (helping you get back on track while dealing with grief and create a plan to accomplish goals). I’m rooting for you.

TO MY SISTER, MELISSA: WE MISS YOU GREATLY AND YOU ARE ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS!
